YPayCash is a mobile based prepaid payment instrument which can be used for making payments for products and services using your mobile. The instrument is issued by Y-Cash Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. which is authorised by the RBI to issue pre-paid instruments.
YPayCash can be used for the below mentioned services:

  • In-Store payments at merchant/ retailer outlets
  • Pre-paid Mobile/ DTH recharge
  • Payment at E - Commerce Portals
  • Pay utility bills such as mobile, telephone, Insurance, Electricity, Gas,etc

What are the benefits of using YPayCash?
  • YPayCash is a mobile based prepaid instrument thus empowering you to transact at any time and from anywhere.
  • YPayCash is developed using PKI technology thus making it the most secure and safest way to transact.
  • YPayCash application is protected with a PIN. Because of this, even though you lose or misplace the mobile phone, no one else can use wallet.

Is this a credit card or a debit card?

No, it is neither a credit card nor a debit card. It is a multipurpose prepaid payment instrument authorized by RBI (Reserve Bank of India).It is used for making payment without having to expose Bank account or credit card details.

Using YPayCash Mobile Application

What are the supported Mobile platforms or mobiles?

The YPayCash mobile application works on Android, iPhone, Windows, Blackberry and Java/J2ME based platforms.

Does it require GPRS for downloading the application?

Yes, you need GPRS only to download the YPayCash application. Network provider’s basic GPRS (Airtel Live, Tata Dive-in, Vodafone Live, and Airtel Live etc.) will be enough to download YPayCash application.

On completion of application download, GPRS is not required while transacting for making a payment at a retail/merchant shops, for using other services you need to have basic GPRS.

Can I have multiple YPayCash Wallet accounts?

No, As per RBI guidelines multiple pre-paid wallet accounts are not allowed for Individuals and the Wallet account issued will be tagged to the mobile number of the individual.

Registration and getting started

What is procedure to get the YPayCash Mobile Wallet?

There are different ways to download mobile application on to the mobile phone. They are:

  • SMS <YPC> to 9243 766 766
  • Android users can directly download YPayCash application from Android Market.
  • iPhone user can download YPayCash Application from the Apple App Store
  • Windows user can download YPayCash Application from the Windows Market Place
  • BlackBerry users can download YPayCash application from BlackBerry App World.
  • Visit www.ypaycash.com; click on enroll now and provide mobile number and submit, you will receive an sms with the download link.
  • Call customer care at 044 30208787 to get the download link.
What are the various steps involved in registration and activation of YPayCash Application in my Mobile phone?

There are 2 steps:

  • Downloading of software
  • Registration and Activation of Services

After the software is downloaded and installed, the user has to open the YPayCash application to continue with the registration process. Once the registration is completed, the services will be activated automatically.

Is there any Registration or application download charges?

No, Downloading and registration of YPayCash is free of cost.

What is the difference between YPayCash Insta and Maxima? Which one should I obtain?

What is the Mobile application ePIN?

ePIN is a password/PIN which is created by the user during download and registration of YPayCash application on the mobile phone. The PIN is used for opening the YPayCash application on the phone and hence protects your application from un-authorized use. The ePIN will be only numeric with minimum 4 digits and maximum 8 digits.

Where can I see the customer ID and password for my login?

Customer ID and password details are available in YPayCash mobile wallet application->Messages->Inbox-Confidential

What is the validity period of YPayCash Mobile wallet account?

YPayCash Mobile wallet account is valid for 1 year, on expiry of existing wallet account you can re-register for the service and transfer the balance in old account if any.

How do I use my YPayCash Wallet?
  • Open the application on mobile by keying in ePIN.
  • For making payment to Merchant/Retailer - Click on the Menu make Payment->Enter the amount -> QR/Bar code is generated -> the same is presented to the Merchant who is enabled with YPayCash -> Merchant scans the QR code and accepts the payment.
  • For recharge/Top-up Mobile/DTH- Click on Utility payments->Select the service to for recharge/Top-up ->Enter the amount -> Submit the request -> receive the recharge/Top-up confirmation message.
  • Money transfer- Click on the Menu Send Money->Select the mobile number from your phone contact list or enter the name and mobile to whom you have send money -> submit the request-> receive the money transfer confirmation message
How to view transaction summary?

There are two ways that the customer can view the transaction summary. They are:

  • By logging onto YPayCash.com under customer login by providing Mobile number and Password, sent during YPayCash Mobile application registration.
  • Directly in the YPayCash application installed on the mobile under My Account Menu->Transactions history.
How do I know which merchants/retailers accept YPC?
  • Kindly visit www.ypaycash.com and view the list of merchants/retailers that accept YPayCash mobile wallet under merchant locater section in the home Page.
  • Alternatively you can look for the YPC Accepted Here sticker or our posters displayed in our registered merchants/retailers network.
How to recharge my YPayCash Prepaid Mobile Wallet?

There are two ways to recharge your Mobile Wallet. They are:

Through YPayCash website

  • Login to www.ypaycash.com under Customer login
  • Key in your Mobile number and password, on successful login, customer can view various menu items.
  • Click on “Recharge Wallet” available on the left hand side menu panel
  • Enter the amount for Recharge
  • The YPayCash application validates the amount thus entered by customer for “eligible amount for recharge”
  • Proceed for Payment
  • Once the payment is successfully made, your mobile wallet is credited with recharge amount after deduction of applicable services charges. Details of service charges are displayed on the recharge page.
  • Now you are ready to transact.

On YPayCash.com Home Page -Recharge

  • Select load money menu in home page.
  • Provide your Mobile number and enter the amount for recharge
  • YPayCash application validates the amount thus entered by customer for “eligible amount for recharge”
  • Proceed for Payment
  • Once the payment is successfully made, your mobile wallet is credited with recharge amount after deduction of applicable services charges. Details of service charges are displayed on the recharge page.
  • Now you are ready to transact.

Through In-App Recharge in YPayCash mobile wallet application

  • Select Top-Up Wallet tab in mobile application.
  • Enter the amount for recharge
  • YPayCash application validates the amount thus entered by customer for “eligible amount for recharge”
  • Proceed for Payment and provide required details as per the mode of instrument selected
  • Once the payment is successfully made, your mobile wallet is credited with recharge amount after deduction of applicable services charges (If any). Details of service charges are displayed on the recharge page.
  • Now you are ready to transact.

Whether YPayCash Mobile Wallet can be used across India?

YPayCash Mobile Wallet can be used across India for value added services like utility payments, mobile recharge, bus ticket booking, etc., but presently for making payments at retail/merchants we have enabled this service only in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala

How much money can I recharge/load into My Mobile Wallet account?

Based on your wallet type, you are allowed to recharge/load money into your My Mobile Wallet account.

  • Insta-Pre-paid mobile wallet – Rs 10,000 per month
  • Maxima-Pre-paid mobile wallet with Full KYC – Rs 50,000 per day

  • Download Maxima Application form
  • Send Application form for YPayCash Maxima mobile wallet account form duly filled and signed along with photograph and a copy of your identity & address proof to Y-Cash Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Park View Apartments,1st Floor, A, #85, G N Chetty Road, T Nagar,Chennai - 600 017. On receipt of request will upgrade your Insta account maxima account within 3 to 5 working days, based on the documents submitted.
How secure is YPayCash Mobile wallet and the transactions done in YPayCash website?
  • Your PayCash mobile wallet is fully secured. YPayCash solution is built based on PKI technology which is highest level of security for online transactions.
  • YPayCash website uses 256-bit SSL which is highest level of encryption standard for electronic transactions which assures all the transactions happens in YPayCash portal are safe and secure.
Can I close the YPayCash Mobile wallet account? What will happen to the balance?

Yes, you can close YPayCash Mobile wallet account, before request for closing account you can transfer the amount available in your wallet account to your bank account or use it for services.

How long will it take to credit money when I transfer to a bank account?

Under normal conditions it will take maximum of 3 working days to credit money to your bank account from wallet account.

What is KYC?

KYC is Know your customer (KYC) is the due diligence regulated by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to Y-Cash to perform identification of customer and ascertain relevant information for issuing Rs.50, 000. YPayCash pre-paid mobile wallet which allows customer to use mobile wallet upto Rs 50,000 per day.

How do I check my YPayCash wallet balance?

Open the application on mobile by keying in ePIN -> Click on My Account -> Select and click on balance information -> Balance details will be displayed.

What is the refund process?

The customer is eligible for refund in following cases:

  • Recharge initiated through www.ypaycash.com or at YPayCash and debited customer bank/ card account but YPayCash mobile wallet is not credited with balance.
  • Please call our customer care providing reason for refund and raise complaint Y-Cash then will validate the request and initiates refund, for certain services cancellation charges will be applicable. Normally any refund will be processed between 7 to 21 days.
YPayCash Mobile application only lists the last 30 transactions. Where I can view all my transactions?

To see the history of transaction prior to 30 transactions, you will have to log onto www.ypaycash.com and check under View Statements

Can I transfer money to my friends/family who do not have YPayCash wallet account?

No. Kindly inform your friend or family members to download YPayCash Mobile wallet and register for service before sending money to your friend or family member’s wallet account.

How will I know the payment or transfer is successful?

On completion of payment or transfer of money, YPayCash process the request and sends you an SMS confirmation.

When I carry out a mobile/ DTH recharge, when will the recharge the initiated?

On submission of a request that is successful, you will receive recharge/balance instantly in your mobile / DTH account.

I have made a payment. Where can I see the receipt?

Open the application on mobile by keying in ePIN -> Click on My Account -> Select and click on Transaction history -> Details of last 30 transactions details will be displayed -> Click on the transaction to view the receipt.

Troubleshooting

When I click the download link, I don’t see any response?
  • Please check if the Internet Data Plan is activated. You can confirm the same by opening the browser on the mobile phone and check if Internet Connection is working.
  • To download YPayCash, either a basic internet connection such as Airtel Live or a full data plan needs to be active on the mobile phone.
  • If internet connection is working, then copy the download link and paste the same on the browser and try to access. If that does not work, please call our customer care and request for new download link.
I have forgotten my ePIN?

In case the PIN is forgotten, then you have to delete the application and re-download and re-register for the application. This process will need a re-verification and hence the process can be completed only by calling the customer care. Any available balance or pending orders will be transferred to the new application.

Where can I see the software in my phone?

The default location for YPayCash App in my phone:

  • iPhone -> Main Menu -> YPayCash
  • Blackberry phones -> Main Menu -> YPayCash
  • Android phones -> Menu -> Applications -> YPayCash
  • Windows Phone->Main Menu -> YPayCash
  • Java based phones -> Menu -> Applications/Installations -> YPayCash

The user can move the software to the Home Screen or other locations using the move feature of the phone.

There is No Send money, Shopping or Make Payment options in my YPayCash application?

This could have been because of failure during the registration/ activation process of wallet. To complete the process -> click on manage -> select check for update option which will completes the registration/ activation process. On completion of registration/ activation process you will be able to see Send money, Shopping or make Payment options.

What should I do if I change my phone device but not my mobile number?

You have to re-download YPayCash app and do re-registration process. Since it is a re-registration and re-activation, you have to contact customer care for activating the service; customer care team verifies and activates the wallet.

I lost my mobile device with Sim?

You have to contact Customer care by calling 044 30208787 or sending email to info@ypaycash.com and inform Customer care team to de-activate the wallet account to avoid misuse of your wallet account.

I have deleted the YPayCash software in my phone. What should I do?

You have to re-download YPayCash app and do re-registration process. Since it is a re-registration and re-activation, you have to contact customer care for activating the service; customer care team verifies and activates the wallet.

What is the YPayCash Merchant mobile wallet app?

YPayCash Merchant mobile wallet app is used for collecting payments from customers mobile wallet account.

How do I collect payments from customers?

Open your mobile wallet on your mobile and key in ePIN, Click on the Menu Merchant Services -> Select Collect payment -> scans the QR code presented by the customer -> displays details of payment ->accept and confirm the payment -> on successful process you receives transaction confirmation message.

I made a mistake in processing a transaction. What do I do now?

If you have overcharged the customer (i.e.) if customer enters higher amount than supposed to pay and presented for collection. You have to settle the balance either in cash or by providing some product equivalent to the balance amount.

Does my customer require a smart phone to use the YPayCash Mobile wallet?

No, any mobile phone with application download capability can use the YPayCash Mobile wallet.
